welcome to SECRETS UNRAVELED
---------------
Welcome to Magnolia Texas a little town surrounded by groves that offers a quieter life, though the usual nuances still occur here it is mostly peaceful. Here everyone knows everyone else’s business, you will find that most will know you by reputation if not personally. So if you’re a newcomer be careful how you behave as you will most likely be labelled for your behavior soon after arriving and in a town like this it’s hard to lose a reputation once its obtained.
Hidden somewhere in the groves is a mental asylum called Oakwood Institute, the town folk like to pretend this doesn’t exist especially to new comers not wanting their town name tainted by its presence. Most are happy it is hidden away though some are curious about it and often the youth of the town go hunting to see if they can find the asylum, curious as so little is actually know about it.
Teenagers like to make up stories about experiments that supposedly go on there, messing even further with the minds of its patients and they love to scare the younger kids by telling tales of what the institute did to those who actually found the institute effectively scaring a lot of them off the idea of tracking it down.
Little do they know it is the ‘patients’ from the institute that spread most of these stories to keep people away. As it is not really a mental asylum, instead it is a school for the gifted. Not the sort of ‘gifted’ some schools refer to as being the smart kids in class, this is a school for kids with powers.
Here at Oakwood institute students can practice their powers and learn how to control them in a safe and secure environment away from prying eyes. Most of the students have ended up here because their parents thought they were in fact insane for thinking they have powers and Oakwood institute found them when the parents went looking for an institute to put them in. Others already knew about Oakwood due to powers running in their families, and some were smart enough to seek it out on their own.
But enough from me it’s time for you to discover your own story whether you are a member of the town and a human, or whether you are gifted and an attendant of Oakwood Institute, so please go forth and forge your own story.
